How I’m Using Essential Oils

I was actually introduced to Essential Oils quite a long time ago, years even. I have used them a tad here and there but nothing too serious. However, after following Nesting with Grace’s new account Nesting Well (all about how she uses essential oils) I kinda of felt pushed to really give them a go now.

One of the main reasons I have started to incorporate them more is my kids. For one, Sebastian has terrible reactions to mosquitos and NO over the counter medicine has been able to help when he gets bit. However, a roller of tea tree and lavender oil has had them completely disappear in a matter of two days. More on that roller later …

Picture Ledge & Prints

It is now March and I haven’t had anything on my picture ledge since the Christmas Decor came down! I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to put up there. Obviously pictures. But should I do family photos? Should I go out and buy some art? Should I make some art? I have SOOOOO many frames, I’m a bit of a frame hoarder and I really wanted to put those to use. My initial thought being – family photos, but really the ledge is kinda high and no one can be eye level with them....

Homemade Play Dough

I’ve actually been wanting to make this Homemade Play Dough for a while but was waiting for the right time. I was actually putting it off a bit because I thought it would become a big project but actually (except for the flour everywhere) it was quite easy and the kids loved helping.

Unexpected Home Storage Ideas

As part of my “clean up” week I thought I’d share a few organization and storage tips that could seem a bit unexpected .. #1 Wine Rack turned Towel Rack – I had been looking for a towel rack to hang on the wall above the toilet in our smaller bathroom. I could never find anything either small enough or that didn’t have a bunch of other shelves and hooks with it. A quick scroll through Pinterest and the idea struck to use a wine rack!
