Canvas Art Upgrade

I’ve been refreshing Madeline’s room and one of the things that needed some serious help was her gallery wall. When designing her nursery I put a bunch of trinkets up there but now that the whole room is done and being used, they all seem to get lost … I really want to make that part of her room pop a little more.

One of the things I wanted to hang was the ABC Board I painted for her – the problem was the background of the painting was the same color as the wall so it was just going to blend right in. So … I came up with a way to make it stand out more as well as add a little character to the canvas painting itself.

Madeline’s One Year Pictures

A couple weeks ago we took Madeline’s One Year Old pictures and it was a tad bittersweet. It was the last of what seems like a marathon of picture occasions we have taken from engagement to wedding to newborn … Of course we will continue to get family pictures taken as the years go on but this was the last of the “milestone” ones. Sappiness aside they turned out awesome and I’m so excited to share them and update our gallery wall.

Wooden Raised Table Runner

I’ve had this vision in my head for a long time now, probably months, and I finally put it together. To be honest I’ve been waiting for Thanksgiving as well as collecting the brass candle stick holders that I wanted to style on top of this “Wooden Raised Table Runner”. I’ve always preferred table runners over table cloths. I think it add some fancy to the table without over taking the whole thing. Then I thought, what if this table runner was raised higher? Really elevate what is on top of it? So here we go.
