Ornament (or car) Diffuser – 10 Days of DIY Gifts
December 1, 2020Day two of our 10 Days of DIY Christmas gifts brings us to our first essential oil gift. I like this one because it will serve dual purposes. You can gift it as an ornament diffuser, however, when the holidays are over it can be used as a car diffuser!
What you will need for this DIY:
- Wooden Beads
- Wool Balls
- Colorful Embroidery String
- Essential Oils
- Mini Dropper Bottles
You can find all of those items below:
First lets create the fun tassel for the end:
Step 1: Find a small card (a business card or even credit card would work) and tap a piece of the embroidery string along the top. Note: The height of the card will be the length of your tassel.
Step 2: Start wrapping the remainder of your embroidery string around the card. Leave a piece about as long as the one you taped to the card at the end and snip it off
Step 3: Untape the top string and tie it in a knot around the wrapped string
Step 4: Cut the strings at the bottom of the card
Step 5: Take the last little piece you snipped off and tie it around the top of the bunch about a 1/2″ down from the top.
Ta Da! A cute little tassel for the end.
The rest of this DIY gift is pretty straight forward. Arrange your wood and wool beads in any way you would like. Use as many or as little as you’d like.
String them and tie the tassel at the end!
Now, along with this diffuser you can either gift an entire bottle of an essential oil. Or you can use these nifty little droppers to make some fun blends.
If you make these … Tag me! I’d love to see!
