This is fun one that requires a little DIY handy-ness. I love it because you can customize the size, shape, and really overall design of it. Great for a friend that loves to host!
You will need:
- Piece of wood – I used a 12″ x 2.5′ piece but you could use almost any size big enough to use as a platter or even this round one.
- Chalkboard Paint
- Two Handle Pulls – I found mine at Home Depot
I was going for a rustic look with mine so I free handed the edges. If you would like a more polished look then I recommend taping off the edges with painters tape first. You want to leave about an 1″ to an 1 1/2″ around the edge.
I put the chalkboard paint on pretty thick so that I didn’t have to do multiple coats.
Once dried I attached the handles at each end – these are for carrying the platter.
Thats all! Gift this board with a few pieces of chalk so the host can use it to write its contents on the board.
If you make these … Tag me! I’d love to see!
