My kids LOVE books, I got very lucky with these two that it was something they just gravitated towards. I think books are such a great learning tool for kids – and they don’t even know they are learning. Sebastian has gotten to the age where I think he is actually following a storyline a little bit too, which makes reading to him more fun. We’ve graduated to more story books then “word” books.
Since they both have a love of books and their rooms are right across from each other I thought it would be fun to make a little book shelf in between their doors for them to “share books” .. I thinking more so when they are older. My original look is right here:
However, I’ve been wanting to touch it up for a while. It doesn’t look as whimsical as I want the areas they play in to look. So with a little paint and a new picture I think it’s much much better now!
Speaking of all things books, I rounded up our favorites … these are their current favorites – meaning these are the ones I’m reading over and over again by request. They change periodically.
