Sebastian and Madeline had a friend over to swim this week and I wanted to have a fun snack for them. Of course, after perusing Pinterest for five minutes I went down a rabbit hole of Charcuterie Boards! Traditionally these are made up of meats and cheeses but there are so many fun ideas that I found I had to make one of my own.
I went with things that I knew my kids liked, things that were refreshing (it was a pool party after all), things that were colorful (hello kids .. and instagram aesthetic), and added at least one sweet treat.
Ingredients Included:
- 2 Granny Smith Apples
- Hand full of Strawberries
- Hand full of Purple Grapes
- Half a sleeve of Graham Crackers
- Hand full of White Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- 1/2 Cup of Cool Whip
I brought the tray out about half way through our swim time and … in true fashion .. Madeline loved it the most. The best part was that the kids could snack on it and so could the adults! I just left it out (as nothing really could spoil) and everyone snacked on it here and there.
This was so much fun to make and eat that I’m going to try another one soon! I rounded up some of my favorite from my Pinterest search below:
