This little project was part of my 5am DIY Series on Instagram. Basically, they are projects you can complete or at least start in about 30 min. Why 5am? Because thats the time I get up in the morning to have some quiet “me” time before my littles get up and start taking over the day 🙂
Now, to the Bead Garland. I’ve seen these done a lot and they have been on my “I want to try that” list for a long time. I thought 5am was as good a time as any to try it out. You will need:
- Wooden Beads (I got mine from Amazon)
- Twine
- Piece of cardboard the length you want your tassels
- Scissors
Lets start by making the tassels. If you havent done this before, you are going to wrap your twine around the cardboard continuously until its about the thickness you want the tassel
Then you are going to cut one end off the cardboard and tie the other end into a little head.
Tie a piece of the twine to that tassel and string your beads on it to any length that you want. Attach the other tassel to the other end. That’s it! How easy!
You can also try out staining or painting your beads, as well as making tassels out of colorful yarn.
If you make the Wood Bead Garland … Tag me! I’d love to see!
